What are Terpenes?
What are terpenes?
Terpenes are organically produced inside the resin glands of all plants and are responsible for the smell/taste of the species. The cannabis plant produces an array of terpenes that define the effects of certain strains of marijuana. In addition to having aromatherapeutic qualities, terpenes have similar medicinal benefits to cannabinoids. For example, linalool is the terpene responsible for the familiar scent of lavender, which is also known for its calming and sedative effects.
We allow nature to be the architect of our product by combining an organic botanical blend of cannabinoids and terpenes in our products. The graph to the left shows the breakdown of Seed Science's hemp oil terpene profile.
